Today, the nation is celebrating the 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with a renewed commitment to honor and work toward the ideals he envisioned for Pakistan.

The day began with gun salutes in the federal and provincial capitals, and a special change of guards ceremony will be held at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi to pay homage to his legacy.

Born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi, Quaid-e-Azam dedicated his life to the struggle for the rights of Muslims in the subcontinent. As the leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913, his vision, perseverance, and leadership led to the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947, turning what once seemed impossible into a reality.

Across the country, special programs are being held to highlight the Quaid’s tireless efforts in creating Pakistan and to reflect on his guiding principles of unity, faith, and discipline. It is a public holiday, with the national flag proudly hoisted on all public and private buildings.

At the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, a Quran Khawani will take place, and people from all walks of life will gather to pay their respects and honor his contributions to the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent.
