Al-Khidmat's Banu Qabil Expands to Islamabad, Offering Free IT Courses to Thousands
Islamabad, The Al-Khidmat Foundation's ambitious Banu Qabil program, aimed at empowering youth through skill development, reached the federal capital Islamabad on Tuesday. Following successful launches in Karachi and Lahore, thousands of young students thronged the city's entry test, eager to secure admission to free IT courses.
The entry test was conducted at ten designated skill development centers, promising IT training for both boys and girls who qualify. The event witnessed the presence of distinguished figures, including former MNA and Jamaat-e-Islami Deputy Amir Mian Mohammad Aslam, HEC Consultant Dr. Afaq Hussain, and Al-Khidmat officials like Director Banu Qabil Islamabad Altaf Sher.
Mian Aslam lauded the initiative, calling it a "revolutionary step" that can empower underprivileged youth. He expressed confidence that Banu Qabil graduates will not only uplift their families out of poverty but also contribute to national development through earning foreign exchange.
District President Hamid Athar Malik highlighted the program's significance for Pakistan's young population, where a vast majority seeks better opportunities and employment. He emphasized Al-Khidmat's mission to transform job seekers into job creators through skill development.
Altaf Sher, the program's Islamabad director, shared the overwhelming response received in the capital, with over 12,000 registrations for free IT and vocational courses. E-commerce, digital marketing, cybersecurity, graphic design, and motion design are some of the initial skills offered.
Dr. Afaq Hussain, emphasizing the importance of ethical conduct alongside earning potential, commended the program's contribution to both individual and national progress. He called it a service to the entire country and nation.
The event resonated with participants, who expressed gratitude to Al-Khidmat and pledged to strive for personal and social advancement, supported by their families.
