COAS Warns of Social Media Propaganda Aims to Sow Uncertainty, Hopelessness

Addressing the National Youth Conference in Islamabad, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir warned against the dangers of online disinformation, emphasizing the importance of research and positive thinking in combating uncertainty and chaos.

"Social media propaganda aims to sow confusion and despair," General Munir stated, quoting a Quranic verse urging critical evaluation of information: "O believers! If a transgressor brings any news to you, confirm it." He drew parallels between Pakistan's founding and the legendary State of Tayyaba, both built on the power of words, highlighting the responsibility to use communication constructively.

Expressing confidence in Pakistan's future, the Army Chief assured the nation that armed forces remain vigilant against all threats and conspiracies. He urged the youth to uphold the legacy of their ancestors and contribute to a brighter future for the country.
