Asad Qaiser proposes 3-month national govt if consensus achieved

ISLAMABAD, Aug 04: Asad Qaiser, a key leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has suggested that discussions for a three-month national government could take place if all political parties reach an agreement. Speaking to local TV channel, Qaiser emphasized the need for a constitutional and lawful approach to address the country's major challenges.
Qaiser highlighted that Mahmood Achakzai, head of the Pakistan Constitution Protection Movement, is seeking political dialogue and may present reasonable solutions if found. While PTI supports Achakzai's efforts, Qaiser made it clear that PTI will not engage in dialogue as a party but rather as part of an alliance.
The PTI leader stressed the urgency of resolving the current political instability and economic difficulties, advocating for decisions to be made in accordance with the constitution. He also called for the release of Imran Khan and other prisoners and demanded transparent elections.
Qaiser noted that a judicial commission should investigate the incidents of May 9 and hold accountable those responsible. He also acknowledged the changing global situation and urged for a national consensus to overcome the country's challenges, while respecting the law and the role of the military.
