Azam Khan smashes fastest fifty, Arif Yaqub's historic bowling spell seals Peshawar Zalmi's Victory

LAHORE, Feb 27: In a thrilling encounter during the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Islamabad United's Azam Khan and Peshawar Zalmi's Arif Yaqub showcased remarkable performances, leaving cricket fans on the edge of their seats.

Azam Khan etched his name in the PSL record books by notching the fastest fifty of the season, achieving the milestone in a blistering 21 balls. Surpassing David Mullan's previous record set in 22 balls, Khan's explosive innings electrified the stadium.

Meanwhile, Arif Yaqub scripted history by becoming the first bowler in PSL history to claim four wickets in a single over. His exceptional feat played a pivotal role in Peshawar Zalmi's eight-run victory over Islamabad United in the 13th match of PSL 9.

Peshawar's dominance was evident as they restricted Islamabad to 193 runs, successfully defending their target of 202. This victory marked Peshawar Zalmi's third consecutive win in the competition, solidifying their position as formidable contenders.
