Ballot papers reach KP and Balochistan ahead of general elections 2024

ISLAMABAD, Feb 02: the secure delivery of ballot papers has been successfully completed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan. The transportation was executed via ship under stringent security measures to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

For Balochistan, the dispatched ballot papers cover 16 seats of the National Assembly and 51 seats of the Provincial Assembly. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the ballots have been sent for 45 constituencies of the National Assembly and 115 seats of the Provincial Assembly.

A substantial number of 1 crore 7 lakh 43 thousand 894 ballot papers were dispatched from Balochistan, serving a total of 53 lakh 71 thousand 947 voters. Meanwhile, in KP, a staggering 4 crore 38 lakh 56 thousand 238 ballot papers were sent to cater to 2 crore 19 lakh 28 thousand 119 voters.

It is noteworthy that the polling process for the general elections across the country is scheduled to commence on February 8. The successful and secure delivery of the ballots sets the stage for a crucial and democratic electoral exercise, ensuring that voters have access to their voting materials in a timely and protected manner.
