Bushra Bibi's son-in-law joins PTI, set to challenge pml-n in elections
PAKPATTAN, Jan 28: Mian Hayat Manika, the son-in-law of Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan, has made a significant political move by leaving the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and joining PTI. Former PML-N ticket holder, Hayat Manika, is poised to face Farooq Manika, another PML-N ticket holder, in the upcoming general elections.
Media reports indicate that Hayat Manika, the son-in-law of PTI founder Bushra Bibi, along with former Punjab provincial minister Atta Manika, decided to part ways with PML-N after failing to secure election tickets for PP-193 Pakpattan. PML-N had chosen Farooq Manika instead of Hayat Manika and his father Atta Manika for Punjab Assembly Constituency PP-193 Pakpattan.
Following the rejection of their candidacy, Atta Manika, Hayat Manika, and their associates opted to contest the elections under the banner of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Hayat Manika officially announced his departure from Muslim League-N during a press conference after submitting nomination papers from Pakpattan.
Sources reveal that Mian Hayat Manika, after being denied the ticket by PML-N, had been planning to contest as an independent candidate in PP-193 of the Punjab Assembly Constituency. During the press conference, he was joined by Rao Umar Hashim, the PTI ticket holder, along with Rao Naseem Hashim, Maher Moinuddin Chishti, Tehreek-e-Insaf district president Riaz Arshad Niazi, and numerous party workers
