Clash between PML-N and PTI workers disrupts voting in Attock's NA-49 constituency

ATTOCK: Feb 08: Tensions escalated in National Assembly Constituency NA-49 in Attock as clashes erupted between supporters of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), leading to the temporary suspension of polling activities at Government Boys High School Bhangi Hazrao and Polling Station UC Office Northopa.

Quarrelsome PML-N and PTI activists were forcibly ejected from the polling stations, causing a delay of approximately five hours before voting could resume at both locations.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, law enforcement authorities dismantled a PTI camp in the Civil Lines area of Rawalpindi. PTI swiftly filed a petition with the Regional Police Officer (RoPP-19) in protest against the demolition of their candidate's camp.

The clashes and subsequent disruptions underscore the volatility surrounding the electoral process and the need for heightened vigilance to maintain peace and order during elections.
