CM Gandapur Seeks Clarification on Distribution of photo depicting Eid Packages in KP

Peshawar: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has taken strict action against the distribution of photos depicting the handout of Eid packages to deserving families. The move comes after private TV channels highlighted the practice.

Gandapur expressed strong disapproval of sharing these images, considering it a violation of government and party policies. He emphasized that such actions undermine the dignity of the recipients.

The Chief Minister clarified that the provincial government ensured transparent distribution of Ramadan packages to around 800,000 deserving families through bank accounts, prioritizing their dignity.

He reiterated the party and government's policy of refraining from sharing visuals during such distributions. Gandapur himself did not participate in any distribution ceremony or personally distribute packages.

The Chief Minister's spokesperson confirmed seeking explanations from those involved in sharing the photos. He vowed to implement measures to ensure no one's dignity is compromised during future assistance programs.

This action follows recent criticism on social media after images of Eid package distribution were circulated on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa social media accounts.
