CM Maryam to highlight Punjab’s tourism potential to the world

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed her determination to showcase the stunning beauty of Punjab to the world. On Global Tourism Resilience Day, she shared her vision of unlocking the province’s vast tourism potential, highlighting its deserts, mountain ranges, lakes, and rivers that remain underexplored.
She emphasized that sustainable tourism initiatives are being put in place, as tourism is not just vital for economic growth, but also for preserving local culture and strengthening international ties.
One of the key projects, she noted, is the Murree Glass Train Project, which she believes will revolutionize the tourism experience. Alongside this, the Murree Master Plan is being rolled out to transform the area into a world-class tourist destination.
Maryam Nawaz also spoke about the ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, with important roads being upgraded to ensure that visitors can travel safely and comfortably.
As part of a broader push to promote religious tourism, a five-star hotel is set to be built in Kartarpur, and new tourist attractions will be developed throughout the province.
Reassuring the public, she mentioned that the government is taking comprehensive steps to enhance security, ensuring that visitors can enjoy their experiences with peace of mind.
With these efforts in place, the Chief Minister reaffirmed her commitment to making Punjab a leading global tourism hub, through a combination of innovation, sustainability, and a deep respect for its cultural heritage.
