CM Punjab orders to establish PHAs in Every District
LAHORE, Aug 25: The Punjab government has made a pivotal decision to establish Parks and Horticulture Authorities (PHAs) in every district across the province.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, during an administrative review meeting, directed officials to enhance their focus on the beautification of cities. The meeting was attended by Special Assistant Rashid Nasrullah, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Home Secretary Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, IG, Commissioners, RPOs, and other key officials.
CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized the creation and maintenance of green belts along roadsides and medians, instructing the administration to plant more trees and ensure that streetlights in all cities are fully functional.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of cleanliness in every street and neighborhood, both in urban and rural areas, stating that the public should notice a significant improvement in cleanliness and other civic services.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner of Rahim Yar Khan briefed the Chief Minister on the implementation of KPIs, utilizing artificial intelligence software for monitoring and evaluation.
