Court jails drug dealer in hashish case for 9 years

RAWALPINDI, April 06:- A Rawalpindi district court has sentenced a drug suspect, Rihan Shah, to nine years in prison and imposed a fine of 80,000 rupees.
According to reports, Shah was arrested by Gujjar Khan Police in 2023 after they recovered 1.52 kilograms of hashish from his possession. The police presented a strong case against Shah, including concrete evidence, which facilitated a successful prosecution.
Following the verdict, CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani commended the efforts of the investigation and legal teams. He emphasized the court's decision as a testament to their commitment to eradicating the drug menace in Rawalpindi. Hamdani vowed that the crackdown on drug dealers would continue relentlessly.
