District Administration Ensures Full Security and Facilities for Jamaat-e-Islami Sit-In Participants
RAWALPINDI: The district administration has ordered the provision of complete security and all necessary facilities for participants of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) sit-in.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner General issued an official notification directing the heads of the Municipal Corporation, WASA, and PHA to ensure all facilities are provided to the participants. According to the notification, staff and machinery will be provided for the security and convenience of the sit-in attendees.
The JI sit-in at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, continues into its third day, protesting against inflation and high electricity costs.
Yesterday, Jamaat-e-Islami formed a committee led by Liaqat Baloch for negotiations with the federal government. The first round of talks is expected to take place today.
