Election Commission Announces Result Declaration Schedule for February 8 Elections"

ISLAMABAD, Jan 21: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially disclosed the timing for announcing the results of the upcoming February 8 elections across the country.
According to media reports, the ECP intends to declare the results on the night of February 9, at 1 AM.

To ensure the timely submission of results on election day, the Election Commission has completed all arrangements, providing three data entry operators to each returning officer in all constituencies. The Election Commission has revealed that the Election Management System (EMS) will be utilized for the 2024 elections, replacing the old RTS system, which experienced delays in result compilation. The use of technology will facilitate a fair, transparent, and unbiased electoral process. In this regard, high-speed fiber optics and Wi-Fi devices will be made available.

Sources from the ECP have informed that the Election Commission has successfully implemented the Election Management System (EMS) in all four provinces. Regional Election Commissioners and District Election Commissioners have already gained experience with the EMS system from their respective offices. The EMS system is designed to meet the current demands, allowing for result transmission via both internet and non-internet means. Presiding officers will send results to their respective returning officers, who will then forward the results digitally and manually to the Election Commission.
