Gaddafi stadium set to be renamed under major deal with Bank of Punjab

LAHORE, Aug 15: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is on the brink of sealing a significant commercial deal with the Bank of Punjab, which will see the iconic Gaddafi Stadium renamed under the bank's branding for the next five years.
According to media reports, the PCB is finalizing the agreement as part of its broader strategy to boost revenue. The deal will grant the Bank of Punjab exclusive naming rights, resulting in the stadium's rebranding to reflect the bank’s identity.
This move follows a similar agreement made in October 2022, when the National Bank of Pakistan secured a five-year naming rights deal with the PCB, leading to the renaming of Karachi's National Stadium as the National Bank Cricket Arena.
The PCB's latest initiative with the Bank of Punjab is part of its ongoing efforts to attract commercial partnerships and generate additional income for the development of cricket in Pakistan.
