German consulate in Karachi suspends services for non-EU citizens

The Consulate General of Germany in Karachi has suspended all services for non-European Union (EU) citizens with immediate effect, the mission announced on Monday.
In an official statement, the consulate confirmed that the suspension affects all non-EU applicants, including those with previously confirmed visa appointments. All such appointments have now been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
Affected individuals have been advised to re-register for visa appointments through the consulate’s online system once services are restored. The consulate stated that further updates will be provided as the situation evolves and thanked the public for their understanding during this temporary disruption.
This development comes just weeks after Sweden resumed its visa services in Islamabad, and amid recent policy changes at the US consulates in Karachi and Lahore, requiring F, M, and J visa applicants to make their social media profiles public.
