Govt Allocates Over Rs. 110 Billion for Water Resource Development Projects
Islamabad: The Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms has released Rs. 66.3075 billion so far for the development projects of the Water Resources Division in public sector development programs, out of which Rs. 30.45 billion have been spent.
According to the Planning Commission's statistics, the government has allocated over Rs. 110 billion for the development works of this division during the current fiscal year, out of which Rs. 66.3075 billion have been released and Rs. 30.45 billion have been spent.
The Water Resources Division is responsible for the development and management of water resources in Pakistan. The division's projects include construction of dams, canals, and irrigation systems; flood control and drainage; and water supply and sanitation.
The release of funds for the Water Resources Division's projects is a positive development that will help to boost the development of Pakistan's water infrastructure. This will in turn help to improve irrigation, flood control, and water supply and sanitation in the country.
