Haripur Police apprehends suspects in Encounter, other killed by accomplices firing
Haripur, April 03: Police have intensified efforts to maintain peace and security by conducting checkpoints at various locations.
Under the supervision of DSP City Saudaqat Nasir, SHO City Police Station Ijaz Ali, along with police personnel, conducted a checkpoint near Moonan Road gate. During the operation, four individuals riding on two motorcycles aroused suspicion, prompting the police to signal them to stop. However, the suspects attempted to flee, leading to a pursuit by the police.
In the ensuing chase, one motorcycle slipped, resulting in one suspect sustaining injuries, while another succumbed to injuries inflicted during the exchange of fire with his accomplices.
According to police reports, the injured suspect identified himself as Faisal, while the deceased suspect was identified as Kamran. The police recovered a pistol, ammunition, and the motorcycle from the apprehended suspect.
The injured suspect has been transferred to the trauma center for medical treatment, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining fugitive suspects as police conduct raids at various locations
