IHC orders NA secretary to respond on Zain Qureshi’s arrest within 10 days

Islamabad, Sep 19 (NH): The Islamabad High Court has directed the Secretary of the National Assembly and other officials to submit their responses within 10 days regarding the arrest of PTI leader Zain Qureshi from Parliament House.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, presiding over the hearing, inquired about the timing of the incident. Taimoor Malik, Qureshi’s lawyer, informed the court that the arrest took place on September 9. The court decided to seek a report from the National Assembly on the matter.
Notices have been issued to the Ministry of Interior, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad, and the Secretary of the National Assembly, with the case adjourned until their responses are received.
