Imran Khan Submits Nomination Papers from Mianwali

Mianwali: The nomination papers of the imprisoned former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, have been officially submitted for the upcoming elections. The submission took place from the National Assembly Constituency NA 89 Mianwali.

Rai Muhammad Ali, the lawyer representing the founder of PTI, took the nomination papers to Adiala Jail. According to Ali, Imran Khan is gearing up to contest elections not only from Mianwali but also from Lahore and Islamabad.

However, in a setback for the former Prime Minister, the Islamabad High Court rejected Imran Khan's request to completely suspend the decision of the trial court in the Tosha Khana case. The decision maintains his disqualification for a period of 5 years. Imran Khan is currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail in connection with the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) Tosha Khana case.

This ruling follows yesterday's court proceedings where the high court deliberated on Imran Khan's plea but ultimately upheld the disqualification, signaling a challenging electoral journey for the charismatic leader.
