Islamabad Court Extends PTI Leader Raoof Hassan’s Physical Remand by Three Days

Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has granted an additional three days of physical remand for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raoof Hassan.

Hassan, along with other suspects, was presented in court after completing a two-day physical remand. The FIA’s investigating officer requested an extension of the remand for Hassan and other defendants.

FIA prosecutor informed the court that the suspects’ social media accounts had yet to be recovered, and email accounts still needed to be logged in. The prosecutor added that people are running WhatsApp groups for money, with participants from abroad.

The investigating officer reported that fake social media accounts were found on the suspects’ mobiles, and that Raoof Hassan leads the social media team, issuing directives to it.

The FIA prosecutor stated that a campaign against the judiciary and administration is being run, and more time is needed to examine the social media accounts as the FIA only has one technical expert for this purpose.

The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad approved the FIA’s request, extending the physical remand of Raoof Hassan and nine other co-accused by an additional three days.
