*Karachi: Next Academic Year to Commence from August 1 in Sindh*

The Sindh Education Department has issued a notification stating that the next academic year in the province will commence from August 1, 2024. This decision was made through consultations with the Steering Committee, as mentioned by the department spokesperson.

Previously, the start of the academic year in the province used to be in April. The notification specifies that summer vacations will take place in June and July, while winter vacations are scheduled for December and January.

The department has directed all public and private schools to ensure strict compliance with the issued notification. The alteration in the commencement date of the new academic year is expected to benefit both students and teachers.

This change provides students with additional time during summer vacations to review their courses and prepare for the upcoming academic year. Teachers, on the other hand, will have more time to design curricula and manage other administrative tasks for the new academic year.

The hope is that this adjustment will contribute to enhancing the overall educational standards in the region. The schedule for the upcoming academic year is as follows:
