Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Boosts Salaries by 25%: Major Pay Hike for Employees

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a substantial 25 percent increase in the salaries of government employees. This decision, approved through a circulation summary by the provincial cabinet, will be effective from July 1, 2024.

According to a declaration from the provincial finance department, employees in grades one to 16 will see their basic pay rise by 25 percent, while officers in grades 17 to 22 will receive a 20 percent boost. This increase follows an earlier 10 percent raise announced in the budget, aligning the province with the central government and other regions in terms of salary adjustments.

The approval for this significant pay hike will be formalized through an amendment to the Finance Bill 2024, which will be presented to the Provincial Assembly.
