L H C Directs FIA to Investigate Alleged Azma Bukhari Obscene Video Case
Lahore: The Lahore High Court has ordered PML-N leader Azma Bukhari to approach the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) regarding an alleged obscene video issue.
Chief Justice Aaliya Neelum presided over the hearing of Bukhari’s petition, which names FIA, the Ministry of Interior, and other parties. Bukhari alleges that a woman named Falak Javed uploaded fake obscene videos of her on Twitter. She claims Javed has a history of involvement in anti-state activities.
Bukhari’s petition requests that the court place Javed's name on the Exit Control List (ECL) and direct the FIA to immediately investigate the alleged videos and submit a report. During the hearing, Chief Justice Neelum instructed Bukhari to provide all evidence to the FIA and advised her to remain seated as she appeared distressed.
The court has directed the removal of Bukhari’s photos from social media and instructed her to amend her petition. Chief Justice Neelum noted that Bukhari should file a complaint with the FIA according to legal procedures and suggested submitting a request regarding the ECL to the relevant authority.
Bukhari's lawyer also requested that Javed’s name be added to the ECL due to her alleged attempts to flee the country.
