Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court extends interim bails for PTI sisters, Zain Qureshi
The Special Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has prolonged the interim bails of Tehreek-e-Insaf's sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, until February 22, in connection with the Jinnah House and Military Tower attacks, along with the burning of a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz office in Model Town on May 9.
Presided over by Judge Arshad Javed, the court session witnessed the appearance of Aleema Khan and Uzmi Khan on Saturday as their interim bails approached expiration. The court extended their interim bails and summoned lawyers for further discussion at the next hearing.
In a related development, the Special Anti-Terrorism Court also prolonged the interim bail of Zain Qureshi, son of former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, until February 22, in connection with the attack on Askari Tower in Gulberg area.
During the hearing, Zain Qureshi attended court as his interim bail expired, prompting the court to adjourn further proceedings and extend the interim bails for all accused until February 22. These cases, including charges of arson, were registered at Gulberg police station.
The developments mark another step forward in the legal proceedings surrounding these incidents.
