Lahore High Court seeks response from DPO Sialkot on PTI activist's disappearance

LAHORE, July 31: The Lahore High Court has summoned a response from the District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot regarding the disappearance of PTI social media activist Arsalan Akbar. The hearing is scheduled for August 2.

Justice Anwarul Haq Pannun presided over the hearing on the petition filed by Mohammad Akbar, the father of the missing activist. The petitioner's lawyer, Barrister Khadija Siddiqi, appeared in court, arguing that on the night of July 29, a dozen police officers raided their home, detaining Arsalan Akbar and confiscating his phone and laptop.

The petitioner requested the court to order the recovery and presentation of the activist. The Lahore High Court has postponed the case, requesting the DPO Sialkot's explanation on August 2.
