LAHORE, Mar 29: Lahore police responded swiftly to a disturbing video circulating online, depicting the brutal abuse of a child. The video showed a minor being tethered and subjected to violence.
Upon receiving the distressing footage, Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhlaq Allah Tarar wasted no time in directing Inspector Qamar Abbas, the Station House Officer (SHO), to take immediate action. Police promptly apprehended two suspects identified as shopkeeper Farooq and Adnan. These swift measures ensured the safe recovery of the 12-year-old child.
The arrested individuals are facing charges under various sections of the law, including unlawful confinement, wrongful restraint, and inflicting violence through tethering with chains.
Police have launched a comprehensive investigation against the suspects. The investigation delves into allegations of forced labor, unjust imprisonment, and repeated instances of violence perpetrated through tethering.
