LESCO Cracks Down on Power Theft: 449 Caught, 28 Arrested in 24-Hour Operation

LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) continues its vigorous anti-power theft campaign, successfully identifying 449 individuals involved in electricity theft over the last 24 hours. Among those caught, 28 individuals have been arrested.

According to a LESCO spokesperson, cases have been registered against 149 of the offenders, and all illegal connections have been disconnected. The company has also imposed detection bills totaling 442,519 units, amounting to a financial charge of Rs 14.46 million.

The crackdown is part of LESCO's ongoing effort to combat electricity theft across its region.
