LHC acquits two accused in Kasur video scandal

LAHORE, April 25: The Lahore High Court has acquitted Hasim Amir and Faizan Majeed, the two main accused in the infamous Kasur video scandal.

The verdict came after the court accepted the appeals filed by the accused. A two-member bench, led by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry, delivered the decision following a thorough review of the case.

During the hearing, the defense counsel, Abid Hussain Kuchi Advocate, highlighted the inconsistencies in the witnesses' statements, arguing strongly for the acquittal of his clients.

The Kasur video scandal, which shook the nation in 2015, had led to a case being registered against the accused by the Ganda Singh police station. Now, with the Lahore High Court's verdict, the legal battle for Amir and Majeed comes to a close, marking a pivotal moment in the long-standing case.
