Lightning strikes kill 4 in Balochistan rains

QUETTA, April 13: Four people were killed by lightning strikes during heavy rain in Balochistan, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
The incidents occurred in Sorab, Pishin, and Qila Saifullah districts. Two young men were among the fatalities in Sorab, while the other victims have been identified as Zahir Shah from Qila Saifullah and another individual from Pishin.
Levies officials recovered the bodies and transported them to the respective district headquarters hospitals.
The heavy rain also caused damage to mud houses across various parts of the province. The PDMA has issued a high alert, warning of more downpours expected in Quetta, Pishin, Mastung, and other areas within the next 48 hours.
