Motorway Police fine 9000 vehicles for overspending in Lahore to Sadiqabad Campaign
LAHORE, May 14: The Motorway Police's Central Zone launched a high-profile campaign against over-speeding, from Lahore to Sadiqabad, following the directives of IG Salman Chaudhry. Supervised by DIG Shahid Javed, the crackdown resulted in heavy fines for over 9,000 vehicles, with 5,000 big vehicles and 4,000 small vehicles penalized. The campaign, spanning from May 4 to May 13, aimed to reduce accidents and deter speeding drivers. Through special briefings at educational institutions and public areas, over 50,000 drivers received crucial safety reminders. No exceptions were made, emphasizing the zero-tolerance approach to speeding violations.
