MULTAN, May 09: Rescue 1122 teams in Multan district sprang into action over 350 times in the last 24 hours, rescuing a total of 338 people from various emergencies. This translates to an average of 14 emergencies addressed and 14 individuals rescued every hour by Rescue 1122.
According to Rescue authorities, a significant portion of the emergencies involved traffic accidents, with a total of 83 incidents reported. Multan city witnessed the most traffic accidents at 81, while Shujaabad reported the remaining 2.
Residents in need of medical attention were effectively assisted by Rescue 1122. The teams responded to 222 medical emergencies across the district, transporting patients to various hospitals for treatment. Multan city had the most medical emergencies at 212, followed by Shujaabad and Jalalpur Pirwala with four each.
Rescue 1122 also played a crucial role in responding to five crime scenes and 28 other miscellaneous emergencies.
The most populated area, Multan city, witnessed the maximum emergencies at 340, with rescued individuals reaching 326. This included 81 traffic accidents, 212 medical emergencies, and five crime scenes.
Seven emergencies were reported in Shujaabad, with rescue teams assisting seven individuals. This included two traffic accidents, four medical emergencies, and one other incident.
