NA receives resolution condemning assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh

ISLAMABAD , 01 Aug: A resolution condemning the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has been submitted to the National Assembly by MNA Sahar Kamran.
The resolution, presented to the National Assembly Secretariat, strongly condemns the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas's political bureau. It also expresses grave concern over Israel's increasing actions in the region and condemns all forms of terrorism.
The resolution urges the international community to strive for lasting peace in the region and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. Sahar Kamran highlighted in the resolution that Haniyeh's assassination signifies a rise in Israeli aggression. She reiterated Pakistan's consistent stance against terrorism and called for the global community to take concrete steps to restore peace in the region.
It is noteworthy that Ismail Haniyeh was martyred in an assassination attack at his residence in Tehran, Iran, yesterday.
