New Balochistan Gas Deposits Boost National Supply by 3 Million Cubic Feet Daily
KARACHI: The country's gas network has received a significant boost with the addition of new gas deposits from five wells in Balochistan. Mari Petroleum Company has announced the successful trial production and delivery of this new gas, with key details submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
According to Mari Petroleum, the new supply contributes 3 million metric standard cubic feet of gas per day. The natural gas from the Gazij gas field has been allocated to Sui Northern Gas. Additionally, a development plan for the Gazij field is being prepared and will soon be submitted to OGRA for approval.
This enhancement in gas supply marks a notable increase in the country’s energy resources and underscores ongoing efforts to expand and optimize national gas production.
