Nomination Papers of PTI's Jamshed Dasti's Family Approved by Election Tribunal
Multan: The Election Tribunal has granted approval for the nomination papers of Nazia Dasti, the wife of PTI candidate Jamshed Dasti, from Muzaffargarh, as hearings continue on appeals against the rejection of nomination papers.
In a recent hearing featuring eight appeals, former MNA Jamshed Dasti, his wife Nazia, and nephew Samad Dasti faced scrutiny in Multan. The Election Appellate Tribunal ruled in favor of approving the nomination papers of Jamshed Dasti's wife, Nazia Dasti, and nephew Abdul Samad Dasti. Additionally, Tehreek-e-Insaf's candidates Malik Niaz Ahmed Jakhar and Malik Owais Haider Jakhar from Leh also secured approval.
Jamshed Dasti has filed appeals against the rejection of nomination papers in NA 175, NA 176, PP 268, PP 269, and PP 270, with hearings scheduled for tomorrow.
The approval of appeals also extended to Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Zartaj Gul and her husband Humayun Khan from Dera Ghazi Khan, allowing them to participate in the upcoming election.
As the Election Tribunal proceedings continue, decisions on appeals are expected to be announced by January 10, with four days remaining for the resolution of all cases.
