Noor Zaman stuns top seed to reach finals at Hong Kong squash PSA Challenge Cup

ISLAMABAD, Feb 03: Noor Zaman secured a spot in the finals of the Hong Kong Squash PSA Challenge Cup 2024 by defeating Egypt's top-seeded Yasin Al Shafi with a convincing 3-0 victory. The 19-year-old squash sensation shared his accomplishment on social media, expressing gratitude with an "Alhamdulillah" for the triumph over Al-Shafaei in the PSA Challenge Cup final.

Zaman's journey to the finals included a quarter-final victory over Egypt's Abdul Rahman Abdul Khaliq with a 3-1 scoreline. He continued his exceptional form in the semi-finals, clinching a thrilling 3-2 win against Japan's Tomo Ando.

Just last month, Zaman faced challenges securing a visa from the Pakistan Consulate General in Hong Kong. He had expressed concerns on Twitter about potential impacts on his world ranking if he couldn't participate in the PSA Challenge Cup.

This triumph not only showcases Zaman's dedication to excellence but also highlights the skills he brings to competitive squash. In 2022, he contributed to Pakistan's success in the Asian Games, securing a silver medal for the team.
