Online Taxi Driver Allegedly Assaults Woman in Lahore

Lahore, Aug 02: An online taxi driver has been accused of assaulting a female passenger in the Sabzazar area. According to police reports, the woman booked a ride via the InDrive app and, upon reaching her friend’s house in Karachi Pura, the driver requested water. While the woman went to get the water, the driver reportedly entered the house and assaulted her.

The FIR details that the assault occurred in the presence of the woman's friend, and when her parents arrived, they intervened and beat the driver before letting him go to avoid further embarrassment.

The police have registered a case and are conducting raids to apprehend the suspect.
