Islamabad, The concluding day for the submission of nomination papers for Pakistan's imminent general elections witnessed a flurry of activity, with an astounding 28,626 papers filed nationwide, vying for positions in both National and Provincial Assemblies. This robust participation reflects a heightened interest in the electoral process, as candidates vie for seats in the country's premier legislative bodies.

The National Assembly, the lower house of Pakistan's Parliament, experienced a surge with a total of 7,696 nomination papers submitted for its 266 general seats and 60 reserved seats for women. This equates to an average of almost 30 papers per seat, indicating intense competition in numerous constituencies.

A staggering 7,242 papers were filed for the 266 general seats of the National Assembly, showcasing a diverse array of individuals aspiring to represent their constituencies at the federal level.
