PISNI/OTHAL, May 18: The Pakistan Coast Guards conducted a successful anti-narcotics and anti-trafficking operation in the Pisni and Othal areas. During the operation, the Intelligence Team of the Pakistan Coast Guards focused on preventing smuggling activities along the coastal belt, the team seized a substantial quantity of narcotics.
In the rugged and remote terrain near Zico Copper Post, in the general vicinity of Pisni, the Coast Guards uncovered 187 bags containing 2052 kg of high-quality hashish. The operation, conducted amidst challenging conditions, effectively thwarted an attempt to export these narcotics, valued at approximately $34.241 million in the international market.
Simultaneously, at the Othal Check Post, a routine check of a passenger bus originating from Quetta and bound for Karachi led to the discovery of 3595 kg of prohibited chalia. The intercepted contraband, hidden within the bus, underscores the persistent efforts of smuggling networks to evade detection and undermine the country's economy.
