Pakistan Railways Introduces Summer Vacation Special Train: Karachi to Rawalpindi Route Opens for Travelers
SLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has launched a new "Summer Vacation Special Train" from Karachi to Rawalpindi, aimed at providing convenient travel options for the public during the summer holidays.
The train, scheduled to depart Karachi at 8:45 PM, will make stops in Lahore and reach Rawalpindi at 10:00 PM. For the return journey, it will depart from Rawalpindi at 12:30 PM, arriving in Lahore at 6:00 PM and concluding in Karachi at 2:15 PM the following day.
Featuring 17 coaches including AC Business, AC Standard, and Economy Class options, along with a Power Van, the Summer Vacation Special Train promises comfortable travel accommodations.
The inaugural journey from Rawalpindi to Karachi is set for July 5, with subsequent departures scheduled every two days. With 14 stops along the route, the train boasts a seating capacity for up to 1140 passengers, ensuring ample space for holiday travelers.
