Pakistan Super League Season 9 Trophy unveiled in Lahore

LAHORE, Feb 13: The trophy for the upcoming ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was revealed on Tuesday in Lahore. PSL 9 is set to take place across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with the final scheduled for March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

Similar to previous editions, PSL 9 will be divided into two legs. The first leg will feature 14 matches at Multan Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, running from February 17 to 27. Following this, the action will transition to Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi and the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, where 16 matches will be played from February 28 to March 12.

The opening match will see two-time champions and current title holders Lahore Qalandars facing off against Islamabad United, winners of the 2016 and 2018 editions.

Fans can anticipate a thrilling encounter between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings, scheduled for February 24 and March 9. Gaddafi Stadium will host the match on February 24, while the National Bank Stadium will witness the clash between Qalandars and Kings on March 9.

Teams like Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, and Islamabad United will play five matches at their respective home grounds, while Peshawar Zalmi will compete in four matches at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Quetta Gladiators, on the other hand, will play three matches each in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, with an additional match at Multan Cricket Stadium against the home side Sultans on February 25.
