Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem and Faiqa Riaz depart for Paris Olympics

Lahore: Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem and sprinter Faiqa Riaz have officially set off for the Paris Olympics, marking the beginning of their journey to compete on the global stage. Nadeem, accompanied by his coach Salman Butt, will represent Pakistan in javelin throw, while Riaz will take part in the 100m sprint.
Nadeem is scheduled to compete in the javelin throw group round on August 6, with the final set for August 8. Meanwhile, Riaz will race in the preliminary round of the women's 100m event on August 3.
The Paris Olympics, which are just days away, will see a total of seven Pakistani athletes participating in three different sports. Alongside Nadeem and Riaz, the 18-member squad includes three shooters and two swimmers, highlighting a diverse representation for Pakistan in this prestigious event.
