Paris 2024 Olympics to Kick Off Before official ceremony

Karachi: The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will officially commence this Friday, but sports events are set to start two days earlier on Wednesday.

The 33rd edition of the Olympic Games will begin with men's football tournaments. On Wednesday afternoon, two matches will be held simultaneously: Argentina will face Mauritius in Group B, while Uzbekistan, making its Olympic debut, will compete against Spain in Group C.

Additionally, Group B will see Iraq play Ukraine, Group A will feature France against the USA, and Group D will have Mali taking on Israel. Rugby matches will also start on Wednesday, with handball, archery, rugby, and football games scheduled for Thursday.
