Peshawar Food Department arrests 15 wholesalers for Price Violations
PESHAWAR, April 06 : The Peshawar Food Department has intensified its efforts to combat temporary price inflation, arresting 15 wholesalers for violating official price lists.
Raids were conducted under department supervision at food shops across Board Bazar and Dalzak Road. Officials inspected the prices of various food items and apprehended 15 wholesalers found to be non-compliant.
The arrested individuals include sellers of vegetables, fruits, milk, yogurt, bakery goods, meat, and general store items.
Rationing Food Controller Peshawar, Jamshed Afridi, vowed that the crackdown on wholesalers will continue until the temporary inflation issue is brought under control. This initiative aims to ensure fair pricing of essential food items for consumers in the city.
