Peshawar High Court Shortens Summer Break to Expedite Pending Cases
PESHAWAR, : Peshawar High Court has announced a significant reduction in its summer vacation period to accelerate the pace of justice delivery,. Traditionally spanning two months, the court will now observe only a one-month break, with vacations for July terminated.
This decision, confirmed by Additional Registrar Mamreez Khan Khalil, reflects the court's commitment to addressing the backlog of pending cases promptly. To facilitate this, special benches will be established throughout July, prioritizing the disposal of civil cases awaiting resolution.
Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, along with other esteemed judges, underscored the necessity of swift action to ensure timely justice for citizens. Embracing technological advancements, the court is also in the process of computerizing its systems, with plans to provide citizens easy access to case information through the court's website.
This move signals a proactive approach by the judiciary in Peshawar to uphold the fundamental right to justice swiftly and efficiently.
