PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal throws shade at Daniyal Aziz, questions loyalty and motives

Shakargarh, in a fiery speech in Shakargarh, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal launched a scathing attack on fellow politician Daniyal Aziz, casting doubt on his party loyalty and motives. Iqbal alleged that Aziz, despite being a PML-N member, was secretly vying for a ticket from the rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.

Iqbal pointed to Aziz's recent public criticisms of the PML-N and his seemingly conciliatory press conference towards the PTI as evidence of his hidden agenda. He further claimed that even within the PML-N, Aziz faced skepticism as the leadership initially hesitated to award him a ticket in 2013.

Taking aim at Aziz's accusations of PML-N's responsibility for inflation, Iqbal countered that the current economic woes stemmed directly from the harsh International Monetary Fund (IMF) program imposed by the previous PTI government.

Iqbal's remarks fueled speculation of internal rifts within the PML-N, particularly given the timing of upcoming general elections. Whether Aziz responds to Iqbal's accusations and what potential implications this might have for the party's electoral prospects remain to be seen.
