Police arrest husband, stepson for alleged murder of women by burning
LAHORE, Jan 10: Police on Wednesday arrested husband and stepson of a woman, allegedly responsible for her death by setting her on fire, have been apprehended by authorities.
According to police, a new twist has surfaced in the case surrounding the death of Tabasim, who succumbed to a fire in the factory area. The police investigation points towards the victim being deliberately set ablaze, leading to the arrest of her husband, Raja Nazir, and stepson, a CTD inspector.
According to police sources, a case has been registered against Raja Nazir and the CTD inspector based on the complaint filed by the victim's brother. Nazir had entered into a second marriage with Tabasim. The accused claimed that the incident occurred while Tabasim was making tea, but discrepancies arose as the fire erupted in the living room rather than the kitchen, as stated by the accused.
The police findings, including the location of the incident and the unfolding events, contradict the statements provided by the accused. Ongoing investigations continue with the detained individuals.
