PESHAWAR, Feb 16: The names of potential candidates for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's new cabinet have emerged, shedding light on the province's forthcoming political landscape.

According to insiders within the party, prominent figures such as Mushtaq Ghani are poised to assume significant roles, with Ghani possibly ascending to the position of senior provincial minister. Alongside Ghani, Babar Saleem Swati is being touted for the role of deputy speaker, signaling a strategic alignment within the cabinet.

Further contenders include Akbar Ayub, Faisal Amin Gandapur, Amjad Ali, and Shafiullah, all of whom are under consideration for inclusion in the provincial cabinet, sources indicate.

In a bid to ensure representation across diverse regions, figures like Zahir Shah Toro from Mardan, former provincial minister Fazal Shakur, Meena Khan, and Qasim Ali Shah are also being considered for key responsibilities within the cabinet.

Moreover, Mian Umar from Nowshera stands out as a strong candidate for cabinet membership, alongside Zahidullah from Bannu and Asif Khan from South Waziristan, highlighting the province's commitment to inclusivity and regional representation.

As the political landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa undergoes reshaping, these revelations offer a glimpse into the lineup of individuals poised to steer the province towards its future endeavors.
