PPP Leader Saeed Ghani Accuses PML-N of plotting imran khan's imprisonment

LAHORE, Jan 21: Saeed Ghani, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) harbored intentions to incarcerate Imran Khan, stating that their plans have fallen through after the recent political developments. Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Ghani claimed that PML-N had wishes to delay the elections, imprison Imran Khan, and sought to score points against the PTI. However, the current situation of the Muslim League-Nawaz is dire, leaving them anxious as they gauge the ground realities.

Ghani emphasized the need for an inquiry into the attack on the PPP office, stating that if the police and Rangers do not take stringent action, the situation could escalate. He called for investigations against those responsible for the attack, in line with Mustafa Kamal's recent statements. Mustafa Kamal had asserted that anyone challenging MQM's dominance in District Central would face consequences, highlighting the recent incidents as a sequence of his statements.

Regarding the Sindh High Court's decision on the Code of Conduct, Ghani mentioned that placing a candidate's image on any board during elections could result in an FIR. He cautioned against the misuse of this provision, urging that reports should be filed with the police rather than resorting to pressure tactics.
