PPP supporters block quetta-karachi road over rejection recount request in Hub District

The supporters of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) staged a protest by blocking the Quetta-Karachi road after their request for a recount in BP-15 Constituency was rejected. The protest, led by PPP candidate Mir Duran Khan Khosa, aimed to highlight alleged rigging in PB-15 Sahabpur constituency.

Setting up a protest camp on the national highway, Mir Duran Khan Khosa and PPP supporters demanded a recount, alleging that their apparent victory was unjustly overturned through rigging. The demonstrators insisted on the recount of votes from PB-21 Hub as well.

It's noteworthy that in BP-15, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Saleem Ahmed emerged victorious with 24,619 votes, while PPP's Mir Duran Khan Khosa secured the second position with 15,997 votes.

The protest reflects growing discontent and calls for electoral transparency in the region, amidst claims of irregularities and demands for fair representation.
